The King’s Garden: (download from AOK Blacksmith here) http://bit.ly/2pzHBiV: In this map, our hero, Thodo (a character from an earlier campaign), wants to marry the fairest of the King’s three daughters. In order to marry her, though, he must first run through the King’s garden, which is a giant, walled-in maze. A puzzle halfway through the garden makes the map even more challenging, as the entire event is timed (you can actually see the “timer” winding down). Depending upon how quickly you finish the map, you can earn one of up to four unique endings, three victory (one for each of the three daughters–you only get to marry your heart’s desire if you finish the maze quickly enough–your prospects diminish the slower you complete the race) and one loss (if you don’t finish at all).

(Please note, Age of Empires doesn’t run on my current PC, so I was unable to get a screenshot of my scenario. The maze below is similar, but was a random image found online. It’s not even from Age of Empires.)

(AOK) Age of Kings Chess: (download from AOK Blacksmith here) http://bit.ly/2q7W6dJ: This is a fully-functional chess-board with AOK/AOC units. You can play a real game of chess on this map, turns and all. A simple turn marker system prevents you from moving your units when it’s not your turn. “Captured” units appear as “ghosts” in your cemetery (to help keep track of which units you’ve lost to and captured from your opponent). Original board units have been renamed, and both players have a cache of extra units to be used for pawn-exchanges, to redo a move, or if a piece is killed accidentally.

(Please note, Age of Empires doesn’t run on my current PC, so I was unable to get a screenshot of my scenario. The chess board below is similar, but was a random image found online. It’s also from Age of Mythology, not Age of Empires.)
