Software QA Lead. As a freelance QA consultant, I often worked with multiple clients simultaneously. Here were my primary software QA clients and a brief description of my responsibilities for each from 2002-2012:


2011-2012: DraftFCB: New York, NY: Led testing on several pharmaceutical advertising and training websites. www.fcbhealthcare.com

2010-2011: Zeo: Watertown, MA: Conducted web and compatibility testing for a wearable device that tracks the different stages of sleep and reports the data via a web service. www.myzeo.com

2010-2011: Playrific: Billerica, MA: Led testing through the launch of a parent-managed children’s web portal app for iOS. www.playrific.com

2009-2011: GenR Media Consultants: New York, NY: Led testing for a series of medical and pharmaceutical educational CDs, DVDs, and websites. http://www.genrmedia.com/

2008-2009: Zeemote: Chelmsford, MA (salaried):  Planned and led testing for the SDK of a Bluetooth joystick, designed to improve the mobile gaming experience on select phones. www.zeemote.com

2005-2008: SciMedMedia: New York, NY:  Led testing for a series of medical and pharmaceutical educational CDs, DVDs, and websites. www.scimedmedia.com

2004: Fisher Price / Mattel: New York, NY:  Led testing for selected titles to run on the InteracTV system, a kid-friendly remote control for interaction with specially repurposed DVDs. www.fisher-price.com

2002-2003: Scholastic, Inc.: New York, NY:  Led testing on a fun, early math and logic educational CD-ROM based on Bill Cosby’s “Little Bill” universe. http://www.scholastic.com/

For the above-named positions, as applicable:

  • Manually tested client websites, tablets, and mobile devices for defects across required configurations.
  • Conducted and delegated testing of product, including smoke, unit, workflow, regression, ad hoc, usability, compatibility, and acceptance testing.
  • Established and maintained project test plans and schedules, and coordinated internal and outsourced testing staff.
  • Prepared and executed test scripts for functionality, localization, and hardware compatibility testing.
  • Participated in management meetings to coordinate upcoming releases and present relevant risk assessments.
  • Led inter-departmental meetings to establish release priorities and schedules.
  • Interviewed, hired, trained, and mentored junior testers.
  • Reported and tracked issues until resolution, managed project bug databases, and kept version histories.
